Return & Exchange Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
At Sree Gopra Handlooms, every saree is carefully sourced from traditional weaving communities across India and undergoes multiple quality checks before dispatch. As our products are handcrafted, limited-edition, and often available in single-piece quantities, customers are encouraged to review all product details, images, videos, fabric descriptions, measurements, and specifications carefully before placing an order.
1. Our Commitment
We are committed to offering authentic handloom sarees that celebrate India’s weaving heritage while supporting artisan families and traditional craftsmanship.
Every saree is inspected, documented, folded, packed, and verified before dispatch to ensure that customers receive the product as represented.
2. Product Nature & Customer Acknowledgement
By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and accepts that:
- Handloom products are handmade and may naturally contain variations in texture, weave, colour tone, motif placement, yarn thickness, and finish.
- Product colours may appear different across mobile phones, monitors, screens, photography settings, and lighting conditions.
- Such variations are characteristics of authentic handcrafted products and shall not be considered defects.
3. Exchange Requests
Given the handcrafted, limited-edition, and individually curated nature of our sarees, exchange requests are generally not applicable once an order has been confirmed and dispatched.
An exchange request may be considered only if the customer receives a product that is materially and substantially different from the product ordered, such as:
- A different saree than the one purchased.
- A different fabric category than described.
- A significant deviation in the core product specifications represented at the time of purchase.
Exchange requests shall not be entertained for differences arising from:
- Personal expectations or preferences.
- Colour perception variations caused by photography, lighting, mobile devices, monitors, or display settings.
- Natural characteristics of handloom weaving.
- Variations inherent to handcrafted products.
- Differences in drape, texture, weight, feel, softness, sheen, or appearance that do not alter the fundamental identity of the product.
Customers seeking review of a claim must notify Sree Gopra Handlooms within 24 hours of delivery and provide complete photographic and video evidence, including the unopened package, product received, invoice, tags, and packaging materials.
All requests shall be evaluated against product descriptions, product images, pre-dispatch quality records, and internal verification documentation maintained by Sree Gopra Handlooms.
Submission of a request does not imply acceptance of the claim, and exchange eligibility shall remain solely at the discretion of Sree Gopra Handlooms.
4. Conditions for Exchange Consideration
For any request to be reviewed, the product must:
- Be unused, unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged.
- Retain all original tags, labels, packaging materials, and invoice.
- Remain in its original folded condition exactly as dispatched.
- Show no signs of draping, trial wear, ironing, stitching, pinning, perfume application, dry cleaning, or handling beyond reasonable inspection.
As every saree is folded and packed according to documented procedures, any alteration, removal, disturbance, or modification of the original folding condition shall render the product ineligible for exchange consideration.
5. Non-Exchangeable Situations
Exchange requests shall not be accepted for:
- Change of mind after purchase.
- Personal preference regarding colour, texture, weight, fabric feel, weave, drape, or design.
- Colour differences arising from photography, lighting, screen resolution, or display settings.
- Natural characteristics of handcrafted handloom products.
- Minor weaving irregularities, slubs, thread variations, or artisan-created imperfections.
- Products purchased during promotions, discounts, clearance sales, festive offers, or special campaigns.
- Custom-sourced, reserved, altered, or made-to-order products.
- Products where tags, labels, invoice, packaging, or original folding condition have been altered or removed.
6. Inspection & Approval Process
All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Sree Gopra Handlooms reserves the right to inspect supporting photographs, videos, product details, dispatch records, and any other relevant documentation before making a determination.
Approval or rejection of any request shall remain solely at the discretion of Sree Gopra Handlooms.
7. Refund Policy
As each saree is individually sourced, allocated, and reserved against a confirmed order, all purchases are generally considered final.
Refunds are not ordinarily provided.
In exceptional circumstances, where Sree Gopra Handlooms determines that an approved issue cannot be reasonably addressed through any alternative resolution, an appropriate remedy may be considered solely at the discretion of the company.
Nothing in this policy shall be construed as creating an automatic entitlement to a refund, replacement, exchange, compensation, or store credit.
8. Shipping & Delivery
Upon successful handover of the shipment to the designated logistics or courier partner, the shipment shall be deemed accepted for transportation.
Delivery timelines are estimates only and may vary based on location, courier operations, weather conditions, public holidays, or other factors beyond our control.
Sree Gopra Handlooms shall not be liable for delays, handling practices, loss, damage, theft, delivery exceptions, or other events occurring during transit after dispatch.
9. Final Authority
All decisions relating to exchanges, refunds, replacements, credits, product condition assessments, and policy interpretation shall rest solely with Sree Gopra Handlooms.
The decision of Sree Gopra Handlooms shall be final and binding.
